2019 Trips The locations for our 2019 outings have been announced and can be found here or on our outings page
Chinese New Year Dinner On 8th February we held a Chinese New Year Dinner. Our Chef for the evening, Linda Thomas, produced a wonderful variety of traditional Chinese dishes enjoyed by all. It was a lovely social occasion and the sum of £250 was raised which has been spent on a new electric cooker and its installation. This will make future events so much easier to cater for as it's more efficient and slightly bigger than our previous model. A big thank you to Linda, it was a brilliant evening.
Bronwyn Davies On 13th December 2018 our dear friend and long standing Club member Bronwyn Davies sadly passed away very suddenly. Bron served as Chair of the Ladies Section and was a Committee Member for very many years and will be very sadly missed.
Club AGM Our Club AGM took place on 12th October 2018. All Officers were re-elected to retain their present positions with the exception of Gwen Bradford who wished to stand down as Assistant Secretary. Gwen was thanked for all the years of hard work and service to the Committee. Gwyneth Jenkins also stood down from the Committee due to ill health, but has been thanked for many years of service and support to the Club.
Annual Christmas Fundraiser Our Annual Christmas Fund Raiser took place on 17th November 2018. We raised over £1,000. We would like to thank all those who helped and supported this event. we are very grateful to you all.
Annual Show

Our 48th Annual Show took place on Saturday 1st September 2018. The weather was kind to us and the show was very well attended. This year there were 53 entrants who between them put on 455 exhibits. This was the 4th highest figure for exhibits recorded over the last 11 years. We had a strong Novice Section entry and this class was won by Amy Paice.

This year we introduced 3 classes for Children but unfortunately the number of entries here were disappointing but we hope that perhaps next year when word gets around this may improve. The show concluded with an auction of produce, a wonderful raffle and the presentation of trophies.

A great success! Thank you to all who supported us.

Plant Sale

Our Annual plant sale was a great success, thanks to all who supported and members who helped make it very worthwhile. We made over £2,000 which will help maintain Cliff Cottage for the benefit of the Community.

Laleston Gardening Club is extremely grateful to Zoar's Ark Neath our main supplier of garden products, Mackworth Arms Laleston, Caring Laundry Laleston and Pimento Deli Broadlands for their kind sponsorship of our Annual Plant Sale. Thank you so much!
