Show Schedule 2022

Here is the Show Schedule for 2022 - Schedule

National Lottery Community Funding

It is with great pleasure that Laleston Gardening Club can announce that we have made a successful application to the National Lottery Community Fund, Wales. We have received funding to assist with the restoration of Cliff Cottage windows. We are very pleased and grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund for this help which will help us make our building greatly improved for use by the Club and the local Community.

Coronavirus / COVID-19

In line with Alert Level Zero regulations we have carried out a risk assessment of Cliff Cottage. A copy of the Risk Assessment is displayed in the Club for inspection.

Activities are resuming in April, see events for details.

We are now open on Saturday and Thursday mornings 10am-12 noon.

Three new windows have been fitted in the main hall. The windows have been funded purely from our fund raising activities and we are extremely grateful to all who have supported those events by helping and buying.

The windows have been custom made by Acacia Joinery of Bridgend. They are made in the original style to retain the outer appearance of our Grade II listed building and have been approved by the BCBC Conservation Officer. The windows are constructed of a hard wood with opening sashes to enable us to maintain good ventilation in the hall, assisting the aim of achieving good air quality.

There are a further 9 windows to replace within the building. This will require a considerable sum of money and we will tackle the task a few windows at a time as and when funds allow. The Committee will therefore plough on with fund raising events, and are seeking National Lottery Community funding, our aim being to maintain the beautiful Cliff Cottage for the use of the Gardening Club and that of the local Community.
