Laleston Gardening Club
Each year we have three trips to Gardens opened under the NATIONAL GARDEN SCHEME (see links page for more information)
The trips are organised by our President - Margaret Worgan who doubles up as our trip organiser.
Trips usually occur between June and August. Details of all 2020 destinations will be confirmed nearer the time.
Members of the Club are going to travel to The Tatton Park Show in July 2020 as part of the 50th year celebrations.
In recent years the trips were as follows:
June 2017 - Cae Hir Gardens near Lampeter (with lunch at Llandeilo)
July 2017 - Abbey Cwm Hir near Llandrindod Wells, Powys
August 2017 - Croesllanfro Farm, Rogerstone
June 2018 - Sudeley Castle, Winchcombe
July 2018 - Kilver Court Gardens & Designer Village Outlet
August 2018 - Aberglasney Gardens, Camarthen
November 2018 - Trip to the Royal Mint
June 2019 - Brecon Steam Railway
July 2019 - Dyffryn Fernant Garden, near Fishguard
August 2019 - Spetchley Park Gardens, near Worcester
The trips pick up from various points in Bridgend and Laleston. We usually stop on route for lunch, spend the afternoon enjoying the garden and this is usually followed by afternoon tea. We then wend our way home having had a very enjoyable day.
